Product FAQ's
My scanned images keep getting cropped. How can I fix this?

Occasionally, the Plustek EasyScan software may crop too much of your scanned slides or negatives, cutting off part of the image. If you notice this happening, we recommend switching to Custom Mode, which gives you greater control over the scanning area and ensures that the entire frame is captured. Please refer to the screenshot below for guidance on how to enable and configure Custom Mode.

What software is provided with the scanner?

The software included with this rental is Plustek QuickScan Plus. This is the official software developed by the manufacturer of the scanner and has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. A SilverFast License is not provided with this rental.

How long does the machine take to scan a slide?

Scanning time is dependant on the scanning resolution selected, for a 2500 dpi scan it takes 20 seconds.

Can the scanner accept both cardboard and plastic framed 35mm slides?

Yes the slide scanner can accept both cardboard and plastic framed 35mm slides.

Do I need any thing extra, for example a memory card or does it work straight to my computer?

The scanner connects directly to your computer over USB, you don't need anything extra like memory cards.
